Singapore's world-renowned airport will be breaking major ground over the next few years. Terminal 4, slated to open late 2018, will employ to help speed the process from bag drop to boarding. In 2019, Jewel Changi Airport will open in a former carpark between Terminal 1 and 3. The mixed-used space will include a boatload of high-end retail outlets, restaurants, and attractions, including an indoor forest and a rain vortex — all geared at redefining what it means to go to the airport. – Daniel, Gentedimontagna editor

All eyes will soon be back on Park City, Utah, with the annual Sundance Film Fest, which runs January 18-28, 2018. If you’re in town and looking for a place to stay with more character than the mega ski resorts, my favorite spot is Washington School House. As the name suggests, the twelve-room hotel is set in a restored 19th-century school. Your room includes breakfast, gourmet pares-ski snacks, and all drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) ... so bring on the hot toddies! – Amelia,

Hotel Mar Adentro in Los Cabos, designed by Miguel Angel Aragone, is a lesson in hyper-modernism with its clean lines and white, modular buildings. A meandering, black reflective pool which functions as a literal mirror makes the hotel seems to float on water. It's a stay and a spectacle that shouldn't be missed. – Jenny,

Chinese photographer Ying Yin traveled across the prefecture of Hokkaido on the Okhotsk-no-Kaze, a seasonal train that connects the capital of Sapporo with Abarashi on the coast of the Okhotsk Sea. Along the way, she captured the region's snow-covered winter scenery, producing beautiful, chilling, and soothing images that are helping me appreciate the cold in NYC. – Daniel, Gentedimontagna editor
